Eid-el-Fitr: Senate President, Dr. Saraki, Deputy, Ekweremadu, Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed Advocate Tolerance, Love

Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki
Prominent Nigerians have congratulated Muslim faithful on the successful completion of Ramadan.

In their goodwill messages on Saturday, the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu, urged Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of tolerance, peace, patriotism and love for one another.

This, according to them, will help to build a strong and united nation.

Saraki, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu, said only tolerance, a stronger sense of patriotism and love for one another will help the country sail through the present multiple agitations.

“We should put into practice the lessons of tolerance, perseverance, and love for our neighbours that we learnt during Ramadan to overcome the multiple agitations threatening the corporate existence of our country,” Saraki said.

Ekweremadu called on Muslims to sustain the virtues of endurance, discipline, and love imbibed during Ramadan.

He said, “With endurance, we will overcome the present recession; with discipline, we will defeat corruption; and with religious adherence, we will entrench love, justice, and equity, which are the hallmarks of major religions in the country.”

Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed, in his remarks, called on Nigerians to remain united and exhibit godly conducts.

Ahmed in his Eld-el-fitri message, by his Chief Press Secretary, Abdulwahab Oba, urged Nigerians to shun vices and live in peace with one another.
