Exclusive: Senator Yayi in Paternity Scandal, Ogun Indigene Dares, Prove Your Lineage in Yewa

An Open letter to Senator Adeola.

GNI, Akinlade, KLM, Dada et al we know. Yayi, who are you?
Greetings!

Distinguish Senator of the federal republic of Nigeria, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, the man famously addressed as YAYI. I bring greetings from my humble self and all that concern me.

Stories, social media postings and beer parlour gists all explaining your lineage to the Pahayi-Ilaro origin to many indigenous sons and daughters of Ogun State remain what a young reporter of mine described this morning as 'fictitious'. I doubt that though.

Not until after the 2011 elections, the name Solomon Olamilekan Adeola or even your alias YAYI was so alien to the people of Ogun State and the political firmament of the gateway state, I stand to be corrected though. But just as the formation of All Progressive Congress began you began inroads into our state and Ogun west was your choice.

After spending 8 years in the Lagos State House of Assembly, you made it to the Federal House of Representatives to represent Lagos and alas you came into Ogun State with a suspicious approach of tracing your background for  socio-political gains. I told my brothers and friends then that this man (you) has an ambition, they argued otherwise, your senatorial aspiration then proved me right and ever since all my predictions about you have been spot on.

Senator sir, if you claim to be from Pahayi-Ilaro, you sure have the civil right to aspire for whatever political office of the land, but I doubt your claims.

Why? That's my purpose for writing this open letter. I just trust you will see the message and make a great move of it. When you surfaced politically in Ogun State, you claimed to be(by hurriedly erecting a mansion) from Ishaga-Orile, a suburb presently domiciled in the Abeokuta North local government area of Ogun Central, immediately your handlers got wind of this faux, you move to claim Joga in Yewa North local government - though some unconfirmed  reports said you were vehemently rejected by the king as the monarch of Joga reportedly said he can't vouch for your lineage in his kingdom and before a blink of the eye you moved to the foremost Ilaro town to claim a suburb called Pahayi in Yewa South Local government. Senator Sir, as an accountant of great repute will you respect any financial documentation with series of discrepancies? I trust you wont, that's why many feel you need to set some records straight so we can jointly develop Ogun west and if otherwise, I advise you get consistent with Lagos.

Another serious and logical reasoning of mine is this, while you were in Lagos, at what time have you ever decided to give back to your 'home of origin'? For example people like Chief Olusegun Osoba despite operating in Lagos has been a re-occurring face in person before he ever envisioned the Oke Mosan, same with Otunba Gbenga Daniel, Ibikunle Amosun and even the crop of politicians interested in the guber race at the moment - the likes of Prince Gboyega Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, Hon. Akinlade Abiodun Ishaq, Kola Lawal (KLM) and many others outside our senatorial district were known to us before now.

Yes in your party, Lagos AC, ACN and now APC not less than three politicians have been transferred to their respective home of origin, Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun was a frequent face in Osun even while he was commissioner in Lagos, same with Hon. Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, who has maintained a teeming followership in Ekiti, his state of Origin, for close to a decade. My research in Ile-Ife lately shows your ally then in LAHA who is also now a Senator, Jide Omoworare is well grounded in the state of Osun. Senator YAYI Sir, your case is different. You came without factual proofs of who you are. Kindly prove yourself.

Amazingly, up till date I am yet to understand the name and whereabouts of your parents - who are the Adeola in Pahayi? If your parents are alive where are they? If not, where were they interred? Where are their relatives and what of your siblings? If all these can be adequately answered, the call for unity from Ogun west will be achievable, but if not you might be the perceived bait to squander another chance of Ogun West senatorial district.

I love you as a person, your finesse, candour and eloquence fits representation of Lagos West in the Senate, you always remind me of the days of Senator Tokunbo Afikuyomi, but my love for you is irrelevant when the love for Ogun west is considered. I was part of your campaign (as a reporter) to the Senate via Lagos in 2015 and I can always be again and again.

With due respect to constituents of Lagos West, just gather your documentary, pictorial and human evidence to show indeed you are from Pahayi in Ilaro, Ogun West with factual explanations of reasons. The fact that  your initial plans  to claim Ishaga and Joga were either out of line or resisted makes you like someone not original .

The probe of your family background would have been inconsequential if you had wanted to bring development to our area as a Nigerian, but to become the Chief Executive of our state, the constitution might frown at it. Sir, we know Senator Dada as a royal prince in Otta, Akinlade as 'omo Baba onipako' in Owode, GNI as 'Omo Iya Adinni' in Imeko, KLM as Adele-Oba of Oke-Odan and even Speaker of Ogun House of Assembly, Suraju Ishola Adekumbi is 'Omo Baba Elepo' in Ayetoro. Come to Ado-odo today and I'm known as grandchild of 'Omo Iya oniponmo' and maternally I'm grandchild of late 'Alhaja Tonade Olobi'.  The question is 'Omo tani YAYI?

As I preach unity towards the #OgunWest2019Agenda, its prefixed on JUSTICE and FAIRNESS, with conviction that the TRUTH must be said. As we cannot be united on fallacy, fictitious claims and deceit.
