A copy of the meeting's program
In a new twist of fate in the management of the highbrow 1004 Estates, the House Owners and Residents of 1004 Estate, Victoria Island, Lagos, under the auspices of 'Concerned Residents Of 1004', on Saturday, unannimously sacked the executives of House Owners and Residents Association (HORA), a committee saddled with the maintenance of the Facilities in the Estate.

The reasons adduced by the concerned residents of the estate for the sacking of Mr. Tayo Soetan led-executives committee, was largely on the poor state of infrastructure in the estate.

Other members of the sacked committee includes Ochuko Akposibure, Vice Chairman,  mrs sade babatunde, Mr. Ehiosu Oviawe, and Mrs. Femi Romiluyi.

Another reason given by the residents at the Saturday's meeting held at Cluster Club House of the estate for sacking the committee by the residents was that the tenure of the current HORA's executives had expired since January 30, 2017.

Other allegations leveled against the Soetan led-committee includes; arbitrary increase in power tarrif without consultation; lack of transparency and accountability; bad water supply; and provision of befitting children's playing ground.

At the meeting, the concerned residents also sacked a power supply company, IG4 Power Limited, an electricity firm in charge of power supply to the estates, which they claimed belongs to one Mr. Owumi Ikomi, who is a tenant in the Estate, for what they called exorbitant charges of N=100 per k/watt agreed to with HORA.

At the meeting which was co-chaired by Mr. Soetan, which  the concerned residents also called for dissolution of the Estate Board Of Trust (BOT) headed by Chief Dele Ogedengbe, and called on the members of the Board to vacate office immediately.

Consequently, the residents of the Estate has inaugurated an eight-man caretaker committee, which will be in office for 60 days before the appointment of new maintenance management.

Prior to the disputed takeover by HORA and 1G4 Power Limited, the facility was being managed by 1004 estates ltd which redeveloped the estate.

But following a Lagos High court injunction delivered in january 2016  returning  the management of the Estate to 1004 estates ltd , the disobedience by  HORA of the  order  culminated in the Estate's electricity supply being poorly managed by IG4 Power Limited.

The vast Majority of the residents at the meeting were of the opinion that the estate was better managed under 1004 estate ltd  before this group began formenting trouble on the estate and looked forward to a quick return to normalcy.
