War Against Nigerians in Kenya Should Stop - OPU Kenya Chapter

The Kenyan Immigration Service has declared total war of hatred on Nigerian residents in Kenya.

Despite the Pressure, Oppression, Victimization, unlawful arrest and war of impunity on Nigerian Citizen in Kenya, the Nigeria Embassy in Kenya under the leadership of the Acting Ambassador Hon. Friday Okai looked into the matter with no action before the Oodua Progressive Union (OPU) Kenya Chapter under the leadership of Mr L.B. Akintunde took over the Cause with the support of our Worldwide Convener, Otunba  (Dr) Gani Adams.

The matter has got to an embarrassing Level that Kenya Immigration Officers put up an unabated siege and crackdown on Nigerian residents in Kenya. They break into houses of Nigerians at unholy hours both day and night around Thika Road, Mololongo, South B, Fedha, Eastlands and other areas in Nairobi.

The impunity continues and its extending to Legal Nigerian residents in Kenya.

Unfortunately, many of the victims belongings were stolen during this unlawful operations.

Moreover, as of the time of writing this report over Eighty (80) Nigerians have been arrested for no reason even with Valid Visas and they are awaiting deportation at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi Kenya without food and in a very terrible condition.

Conclusively, we appeal and urge the Nigerian Government to come to our rescue because nobody knows the next victim and "an injustice to one is an injustice to all".

Ajenifuja O.E.

Oodua Progressive Union,

General Secretary, Kenya Chapter
