3-YEAR OF PRODUCTION: 76 BERTHS …ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE MOVIE [LOCATION PHOTOS]

When a soldier is killed in action, we feel unconcerned; in our opinion, they are trained to pay the ultimate price. Until recently, my thoughts got stirred in the direction of the fate that befalls their loved ones when duty calls.

Six years after the civil war, a young officer from the middle belt got entangled in a romantic relationship with a young lady from the southeastern part of Nigeria. Their budding romance was almost ruptured with the daunting task of military posting. Now heavily pregnant, her world came crumbling when news of her husband’s involvement in a botched coup attempt hit the headlines.

’76 celebrates the quality of the African Woman by exploring the usually invincible pain of a soldiers’ wife: it highlights the enduring Nigerian cultural values of courage, resilience, patience, loyalty, faith and family. It is visually pure, emotionally engaging and amorously therapeutic.

40 years after the actual events and 4 years of work have produced, award-winning director Izu Ojukwus latest masterpiece, put together by the duo of Adonis productions and Princewills Trust. 76 is a must see for all the family.

Starring: Rita Dominic, Ramsey Nouah, Chidi Mokeme, Adonijah Owiriwa, ibinabo Fiberesima, Memry Savanhu, Ada Ofoegbu, Daniel K Daniel, and a host of other new stars of the Nigerian film industry, 76 is based around real events with invaluable archived footage that make sit truly authentic.
